Directions to Virginia-Carolina ATHS Truck Show

 

From I-85

Take exit 17 and go North on US Hwy 321 towards Hickory. Take exit 33, Startown Road. Make a left onto Startown Road. After .9 miles, take a right onto Blackburn Bridge Road. Truck show will be about one mile on your left.

 

From I-40

Take exit 123 and go South on US Hwy 321 towards Lincolnton. Take exit 33, Startown Road. Make a right onto Startown Road. After .9 miles, take a right onto Blackburn Bridge Road. Truck show will be about one mile on your left.

 

Follow signs from Startown Road exit.

Is there a raindate?

No.

 

What is the fee to register?

The fee to register is $5.oo per owner of entries. Owner may have 1 or more entries for one flat fee. One guest is included. Each additional person in party is $5.00.

 

What is the admission to the show?

$5.00 per person 13 and up. Age 12 and under is free.

 

Is there food?

There will be limited food vendors with ice cream, lemonade, hamburgers, BBQ, hotdogs and more.

 

Where do the proceeds from the show go?

The Carolina-Virginia ATHS Chapter is non profit. The mission of ATHS is to preserve trucking history. The Carolina Virginia club does not profit from the show. All monies cover the expenses of the show including utilities, insurance, supplies, awards, and advertising. This year, 15% of the gate will go to the American Cancer Society.

 

Are there awards?

Yes. There is an award for peoples choice of working class truck, antique truck, farm tractor, service vehicle, and farthest traveled. Awards are trophies presented at 3pm. Get your voting card at registration.

 

When can I bring my truck/tractor?

Gates open at 3pm on Friday, July 30th. Special arrangements must be made if sooner. The show field must be cleared by dusk on August 1st.

 

Is there kids acitivities?

Yes. There will be a scavenger hunt, face painting, sand art, temporary tattoos and play area. Some activities require donations.

 

Is there handicap access?

There will be handicap parking and golf carts on limited basis. Go to registration to inquire. The show is located on 40acres of field that has a gradual slope. It is usually very hot this time of year and there is limited shade.
